Fioropolis SS's Olavo Neiva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Fioropolis SS from getting a goal against them. In the 13th minute, Nildo Sena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Olavo Neiva was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Silvinho Vidal showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 24 minute of play. Victor Messias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Vítor Torres in the 28th minute of play. The supporters of Fioropolis SS booed when Correntes AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henrique Aguiar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Silvinho Vidal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Olavo Neiva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Adalberto Ramalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Erik Pena took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Olavo Neiva. Fioropolis SS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Victor Messias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Vítor Torres in the 39th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Silvinho Vidal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Correntes AD's goalkeeper Victor Messias had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by José Vítor Torres. Edvaldo Penha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Victor Messias read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Fioropolis SS's goalkeeper Olavo Neiva, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Fioropolis SS getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Adalberto Ramalho hit a great ball. Correntes AD's Victor Messias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edvaldo Penha in the 66th minute of play. Edvaldo Penha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Victor Messias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nildo Sena in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Victor Messias saved Correntes AD from getting behind. In the 72nd minute, one of Fioropolis SS:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Fioropolis SS. In the 73rd minute there was a penalty for Correntes AD. Erik Pena stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Olavo Neiva. 3-0. When Edvaldo Penha came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Fioropolis SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edvaldo Penha couldn't finish the play. Silvinho Vidal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Henrique Aguiar charged in rather forcefully in the 97th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Henrique Aguiar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Correntes AD getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Henrique Aguiar hit a great ball. Correntes AD's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
