Cipriano Vargas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Joel de Souza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernandão Bertassi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enio Rezende in the 48th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ronaldo Donatello stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Radicais Livres FC defense, Ronaldo Donatello kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joel de Souza. The Radicais Livres FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joel de Souza should have stopped the shot. Dráuzio Penha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Fernandão Bertassi made a huge save. After having played for 60 minutes, Dráuzio Penha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Radicais Livres FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dráuzio Penha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joel de Souza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cipriano Vargas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 65 minutes into the match, Radicais Livres FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldo Donatello came free, but Joel de Souza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Cipriano Vargas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Enio Rezende's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fernandão Bertassi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Dráuzio Penha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Fernandão Bertassi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Enio Rezende got free in front of the goal in the 79th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Fernandão Bertassi was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Dráuzio Penha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Fernandão Bertassi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 95 minutes into the match, Cipriano Vargas notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Radicais Livres FC's Joel de Souza. Joel de Souza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Radicais Livres FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
