Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Sérgio Maranhense made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 3rd minute of the match, Sérgio Maranhense tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Horácio Vianna saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Horácio Vianna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sérgio Maranhense, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. After having played for 7 minutes, Elias Vidal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pentagna SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elias Vidal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Geraldo Jacinto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardinho Braga in the 10th minute of the match. Valdir Chaves who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 12thth minute tested the skills of Horácio Vianna when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some careless play in the Molongo defense, Elias Vidal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Geraldo Jacinto. The Molongo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Geraldo Jacinto should have stopped the shot. 21 minutes into the match, Molongo's goal looked a bit too open when Ulysses Hermes came free, but Geraldo Jacinto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Molongo getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Kiko Pernambucano hit a great ball. After 22 minutes of play, Pentagna SS's Ricardinho Braga made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Geraldo Jacinto was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sérgio Maranhense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Horácio Vianna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valdir Chaves's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Horácio Vianna firmly grabbed it by the left post. After the first half Pentagna SS were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After 52 minutes, Ernesto Netto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Molongo and the Pentagna SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 52 played minutes Molongo got a freekick which was hit by Ernesto Netto. In the 53rd minute, Ricardinho Braga fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Geraldo Jacinto, passed just outside the right post. After a rather tough play, Molongo's Kiko Pernambucano got a free kick in the 60th minute. A collision led to Molongo getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Ernesto Netto hit a great ball. Pentagna SS's Cauan Amaral suffered a sprained foot after 66 minutes and couldn't finish the game. During the 66th minute of the match Ernesto Netto completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Ernesto Netto a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Ernesto Netto kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. If Elias Vidal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elias Vidal struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Geraldo Jacinto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pentagna SS. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Frank Diniz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pentagna SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Frank Diniz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Geraldo Jacinto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Pentagna SS's zone, Valdir Chaves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Horácio Vianna came out of the goal and Valdir Chaves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Pentagna SS defense, Valdir Chaves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Horácio Vianna. The Pentagna SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Horácio Vianna should have stopped the shot. In the 92nd minute Sérgio Maranhense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horácio Vianna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
