After having played for 34 minutes, Olívio França managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Piraiuara FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olívio França was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Benê Capixaba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Freire having to interfere. After having played for 40 minutes, Benê Capixaba managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Piacaba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benê Capixaba was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristian Freire stood somewhat misplaced when Dinei Macedo came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 45 minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hamílton Linares to make the kick off. With a little luck, Piacaba's Kléberson Palmeira got control of the ball when Olívio França tried to sneak it across the goal line. José Vítor Perez kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After having played for 57 minutes, Romeu de Amorim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Piacaba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Romeu de Amorim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Piacaba's zone, Olívio França stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. After having played for 63 minutes, Alexsandro Perez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Piacaba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexsandro Perez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dinei Macedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Piacaba's Alexsandro Perez got a free kick in the 69th minute. If Hamílton Linares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dinei Macedo in the 77th minute of play forced Piraiuara FC's goalkeeper Cristian Freire to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd minute, Dinei Macedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
