The Trunfo F.C fans' excitement grew in the 35th match minute when Trunfo F.C's Amauri Nogueira looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 44th minute Amauri Nogueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Válter Secco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Wilton Tande made the kick off in the second half. Válter Secco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amauri Nogueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Franklin Favoretto's late challenge caught a Trunfo F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Franklin Favoretto helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Trunfo F.C booed when Mamore was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Trunfo F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Amauri Nogueira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Válter Secco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Mamore's zone, Amauri Nogueira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Válter Secco came out of the goal and Amauri Nogueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amauri Nogueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Válter Secco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Trunfo F.C walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
