Cristian Freire came out of the goal and Frank Messias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vito Massa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Freire having to interfere. Olívio França sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hamílton Linares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Válter Secco having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilton Tande in the 20th minute of play forced Piraiuara FC's goalkeeper Cristian Freire to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristian Freire showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilton Tande in the 22nd minute of the match.
