Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Robinho Peixoto started the match with the kick off. Gilmar Fantini's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but William Mattos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. Robinho Peixoto took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Raí de Amorim. Raí de Amorim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robinho Peixoto in the 14th minute of play forced Bugres's goalkeeper Raí de Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 16 minutes into the game, Siro Clodio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Raí de Amorim was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Siro Clodio in the 21st minute of play forced Bugres's goalkeeper Raí de Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute of the game Haroldo Novaes made a throw-in which Basílio de Andrade played forward. Raí de Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Siro Clodio in the 34th minute of play. In the 41st minute of the match, Daniel Abreu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but William Mattos saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Raí de Amorim was a little too slow when Armandinho Zanette got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 63rd minute. The score was now 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Célio Bertassi in the 68th minute of play forced Grêmio São Carlense's goalkeeper William Mattos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Bugres booed when Grêmio São Carlense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mustafa Emrah Ongay didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Abreu in the 71st minute of play forced Grêmio São Carlense's goalkeeper William Mattos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robinho Peixoto received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Raí de Amorim came out and tried to block the shot, but Robinho Peixoto slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 73rd minute. Adalmo Melo kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. If Daniel Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Bugres's Zé Tande got a free kick in the 94th minute. 96 minutes into the match, Bugres's goal looked a bit too open when Robinho Peixoto came free, but Raí de Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Grêmio São Carlense had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
