Narciso de Godoy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raphael Barral having to interfere. A collision led to Quajara getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Ulysses Cruz hit a great ball. Carlos Fernando Velasco took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bebeto Baptista. Bebeto Baptista dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 22nd match minute, Quajara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Luís de Lara to maneuver through the defense. Cristiano Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Raphael Barral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 29 played minutes Rucinha AD got a freekick which was hit by Silvério Brodel. When Cristiano Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Quajara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristiano Montenegro couldn't finish the play. When Isaltino Martins fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rucinha AD's protests and gave Isaltino Martins a yellow card for diving instead. After 33 played minutes Rucinha AD got a freekick which was hit by Isaltino Martins. Bebeto Baptista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Fernando Velasco, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Carlos Fernando Velasco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th match minute, Quajara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Brodel to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Rucinha AD's Carlos Fernando Velasco got a free kick in the 45th minute. 47 minutes in the game, Narciso de Godoy fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Raphael Barral having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristiano Montenegro in the 53rd minute of play forced Rucinha AD's goalkeeper Raphael Barral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Narciso de Godoy in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raphael Barral prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bebeto Baptista made an important save on a dangerous shot by Horácio Trancoso in the 58th minute. When Horácio Trancoso came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Rucinha AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Horácio Trancoso couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Rucinha AD booed when Quajara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudinei Prado didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Quajara's goalkeeper Bebeto Baptista, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bebeto Baptista came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Rucinha AD's Horácio Trancoso. But to his dismay, Horácio Trancoso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Ulysses Cruz hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. 75 minutes into the game, Quajara's Narciso de Godoy nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Raphael Barral made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. After having played for 82 minutes, Horácio Trancoso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rucinha AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Horácio Trancoso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Quajara's Bebeto Baptista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Fernando Velasco in the 84th minute of play. Quajara's defense didn't have a chance, in the 86th minute, when Carlos Fernando Velasco scored to the left of an out of position Bebeto Baptista, making the score, 1-4. Quajara's Bebeto Baptista proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Quajara from getting a goal against them. When Carlos Fernando Velasco came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Rucinha AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Fernando Velasco couldn't finish the play. Rucinha AD's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
