Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Mathias Leite got the match started through his kick off. 19 minutes into the match, Quajara's Cristiano Montenegro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Moisés de Lara narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 21 minutes into the match, Querendo's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Brodel came free, but Moisés de Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th match minute, Quajara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudinei Prado to maneuver through the defense. Moisés de Lara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristiano Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ademar Arósio kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. The supporters of Querendo booed when Quajara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Luís de Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Mathias Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristiano Montenegro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mathias Leite sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mateus Porto who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 56thth minute tested the skills of Bebeto Baptista when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 58 minutes into the match, Mateus Porto notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Quajara's Bebeto Baptista. Bebeto Baptista was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mathias Leite sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th match minute, Querendo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristóvão Leão to maneuver through the defense. Ulysses Cruz's late challenge caught a Querendo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ulysses Cruz helped the player get up and apologised. Querendo's Glauco Saraiva got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Quajara's Bebeto Baptista proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Quajara from getting a goal against them. 89 minutes into the match, Quajara's goalkeeper Bebeto Baptista had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mateus Porto. In the 90th minute Cristiano Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moisés de Lara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Querendo's Glauco Saraiva got a free kick in the 91st minute. Narciso de Godoy blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Moisés de Lara having to make a save. Mateus Porto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Bebeto Baptista made a huge save. The Querendo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Querendo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
