Araxans's Diego Koehler proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Araxans from getting a goal against them. Horácio Trancoso's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 4thth minute, Diego Koehler skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The supporters of Rucinha AD booed when Araxans was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Francisco Antunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. 7 minutes into the match, Araxans's goalkeeper Diego Koehler had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Horácio Trancoso. In the 8th minute Rucinha AD were awarded a corner. Mauro Mumbach went to the cornerflag to take it. Raphael Barral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tony Jacinto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th match minute, Araxans was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Francisco Antunes to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Fernando Velasco succeeded in the game's 15th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. Tony Jacinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Raphael Barral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 21 minutes into the match, Rucinha AD's goal looked a bit too open when Ivo Lara came free, but Raphael Barral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 21 minutes into the game, Luiz Guilherme Quadros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rucinha AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Araxans the free kick. Carlos Fernando Velasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diego Koehler having to interfere. Tony Jacinto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raphael Barral having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Fernando Velasco in the 32nd minute of play forced Araxans's goalkeeper Diego Koehler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rucinha AD's Horácio Trancoso got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Araxans's zone, Horácio Trancoso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diego Koehler came out of the goal and Horácio Trancoso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 45 played minutes, Rucinha AD's Mauro Mumbach shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Diego Koehler came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rucinha AD reached it. Ivo Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tony Jacinto made a kick off. Rucinha AD's Raphael Barral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tony Jacinto in the 54th minute of play. Diego Koehler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Fernando Velasco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlos Fernando Velasco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Diego Koehler read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Ivo Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 67 minutes, Isaltino Martins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rucinha AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isaltino Martins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Araxans's Edson Lucas got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Horácio Trancoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Diego Koehler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Rucinha AD getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Luiz Guilherme Quadros hit a great ball. Araxans were awarded a corner in the 96th minute after Rucinha AD's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Arnaldo Velloso took the corner. The corner led Araxans's Arnaldo Velloso to fire away a dangerous shot which Raphael Barral despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
