Valério Marques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlinhos de Amorim kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Sidney de Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Through an outstanding action, after 17 minutes, Kléber Prestes successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 19th minute Luiz Eduardo Velloso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan de Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Tamarineiro's goal looked a bit too open when Beto Souza came free, but Juan de Medeiros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sílvio Guimarães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kléber Prestes having to interfere. Tamarineiro's Juan de Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beto Souza in the 26th minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Sílvio Guimarães made a precise shot to the right of Kléber Prestes. Chambica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 37th minute, Luiz Eduardo Velloso made a precise shot to the right of Juan de Medeiros. Tamarineiro's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. A collision led to Chambica getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Celsinho da Costa hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Sidney de Queiroz took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Kléber Prestes to make any attempt to save it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

When Kléberson de Azevedo came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Tamarineiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kléberson de Azevedo couldn't finish the play. Tomé Veiga charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomé Veiga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tomé Veiga hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 57th minute of the match Beto Albuquerque shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Juan de Medeiros showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Kléber Prestes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sidney de Queiroz in the 59th minute of play. In the 60th minute, Caco Proença hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Tamarineiro's Sidney de Queiroz in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chambica's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Tamarineiro getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Carlinhos de Amorim hit a great ball. Beto Albuquerque's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Juan de Medeiros - 2-2 was put on the score board in the 69th minute. Sidney de Queiroz struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Kléber Prestes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tamarineiro. Tomé Veiga was shown his second yellow card after 76 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Tamarineiro's Tomé Veiga got a free kick in the 77th minute. After 78 played minutes, Chambica's Beto Albuquerque shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Juan de Medeiros came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Chambica reached it. The supporters of Chambica booed when Tamarineiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fábio Lopez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Beto Souza did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-3 to the left of a surprised Juan de Medeiros 80 minutes into the match. Kléber Prestes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sidney de Queiroz's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sidney de Queiroz in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kléber Prestes saved Chambica from getting behind. 88 minutes into the match, Chambica's goal looked a bit too open when Kléberson de Azevedo came free, but Kléber Prestes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kléberson de Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kléber Prestes having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sidney de Queiroz in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kléber Prestes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kléberson de Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Kléber Prestes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Chambica walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
