Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Careacu SS's William Fontes started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rdth minute of the game William Fontes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AMAVIL's Sidney Carvalho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dida de Godoi was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 5th minute. AMAVIL's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Sidney Carvalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chico Santana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If William Fontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, AMAVIL's Dida de Godoi got a free kick in the 18th minute. Chico Santana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sidney Carvalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from William Fontes, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. When Careacu SS's Chico Santana in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye AMAVIL's goalie prevented a goal. With a little luck, Careacu SS's Luiz Paulo Nunes got control of the ball when Vito de Godoi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dida de Godoi struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Luiz Paulo Nunes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AMAVIL. Vito de Godoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Luiz Paulo Nunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vito de Godoi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

William Fontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sidney Carvalho having to interfere. Dida de Godoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Paulo Nunes having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, William Fontes fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Chico Santana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chico Santana might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sidney Carvalho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Chico Santana ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 81st minute, William Fontes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Tadeu Lara fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Careacu SS's protests and gave Tadeu Lara a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of AMAVIL booed when Careacu SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tadeu Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. William Fontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Sidney Carvalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 87 minutes into the game, AMAVIL's Vito de Godoi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luiz Paulo Nunes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Dida de Godoi struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Luiz Paulo Nunes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AMAVIL. When Vito de Godoi came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the AMAVIL fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vito de Godoi couldn't finish the play. Eriberto Pontes hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Careacu SS's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
