Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Luizão Seco got the match started through his kick off. After a rather tough play, Calango's João Paulo Tasso got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Norberto Brito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luizão Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Norberto Brito made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dagoberto França in the 5th minute. Calango's Vito Hermes got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Valério Chaves charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valério Chaves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Pedrinho Fontes scored 0-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Régis Velloso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 21 minutes into the match, Calango's goalkeeper Norberto Brito had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dagoberto França. If João Francisco de Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Caiabu AD's zone, João Francisco de Senna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Régis Velloso came out of the goal and João Francisco de Senna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pedro Luiz da Silva's late challenge caught a Calango's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedro Luiz da Silva helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Calango booed when Caiabu AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Luiz da Silva didn't get a good kick on the ball. 32 minutes had been played when some careless play by Caiabu AD's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bruninho Madureira was slow to take the kick. During this time Calango's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Calango's Bruninho Madureira to fire away a dangerous shot which Régis Velloso despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Calango's goal looked a bit too open when Luizão Seco came free, but Norberto Brito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Régis Velloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedrinho Fontes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Caiabu AD getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Dagoberto França hit a great ball. When Pedrinho Fontes got free in front of the goal in the 40th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Régis Velloso was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Régis Velloso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Francisco de Senna, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Calango's Hélder Aguiar got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 46 minutes into the match, Calango's Pedrinho Fontes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Régis Velloso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. João Francisco de Senna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pedrinho Fontes made a kick off. A hard shot 52 in the game by Vito Hermes from a close distance when the talented Régis Velloso managed to make a qualified save. Caiabu AD's players were relieved. In the 54th minute, Hélder Aguiar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match clock showed 56 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Pedrinho Fontes sped through Caiabu AD's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Régis Velloso. When Calango's Pedrinho Fontes in 60 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Régis Velloso guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Pedrinho Fontes scored 0-3 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Régis Velloso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. João Paulo Tasso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Régis Velloso having to interfere. Bruninho Madureira charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Régis Velloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pedrinho Fontes in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Régis Velloso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pedrinho Fontes got free with Régis Velloso in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Calango's Pedrinho Fontes in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Caiabu AD's goalie prevented a goal. Caiabu AD's Valério Chaves got his second yellow card of the match in the 87th minute. The referee ordered Valério Chaves off the ground. Valério Chaves hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. When João Francisco de Senna came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Calango fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Francisco de Senna couldn't finish the play. Calango's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
