Gravi EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Calango the free kick. Elói Leal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedrinho Fontes in the 11th minute of the match. Pedrinho Fontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elói Leal having to interfere. Vito Hermes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pedrinho Fontes struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Elói Leal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Calango. The Calango fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Calango's Pedrinho Fontes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Vito Hermes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dagoberto Amaral charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dagoberto Amaral the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Calango getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Dagoberto Amaral hit a great ball. Dagoberto Amaral got his second yellow card in the match during the 32nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After having played for 35 minutes, Pedrinho Fontes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Calango's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedrinho Fontes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pedrinho Fontes struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Elói Leal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Calango. Norberto Brito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuca Aparecido, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Pedrinho Fontes made the kick off in the second half. Norberto Brito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuca Aparecido, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Elói Leal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedrinho Fontes in the 63rd minute of play. Vito Hermes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd minute, Pedrinho Fontes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Conrado Mazza fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gravi EC's protests and gave Conrado Mazza a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Gravi EC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Conrado Mazza hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pedrinho Fontes in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elói Leal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nilson Freitas in the 82nd minute of play forced Gravi EC's goalkeeper Elói Leal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pedrinho Fontes in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elói Leal saved Gravi EC from getting behind. Norberto Brito made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jânio Quintal in the 86th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jânio Quintal got free with Norberto Brito in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pedrinho Fontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute, Jânio Quintal made a precise shot to the right of Norberto Brito. Calango's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Gravi EC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Calango had controlled the match.
