Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Betão de Andrade started the match with the kick off. Betão de Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Angelo Pombal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edvaldo Soares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Angelo Pombal made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Betão de Andrade got free with Angelo Pombal in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Gymirim's Angelo Pombal got control of the ball when Gil Zanette tried to sneak it across the goal line. Frank Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dino Secco in the 13th minute of play. Frank Amaral came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Gymirim's Anderson Pereira. But to his dismay, Anderson Pereira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 22nd minute, 228 FOOTBALL CLUB's Betão de Andrade ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Angelo Pombal. Angelo Pombal yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Betão de Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Angelo Pombal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Betão de Andrade could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Angelo Pombal made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Betão de Andrade in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Angelo Pombal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A hard shot by Décio Pimenta from long distance, 34 minutes into the match, got Angelo Pombal's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. If Décio Pimenta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 39 in the game by Betão de Andrade from a close distance when the talented Angelo Pombal managed to make a qualified save. Gymirim's players were relieved. Gymirim's defense didn't have a chance, in the 41st minute, when Betão de Andrade scored to the left of an out of position Angelo Pombal, making the score, 2-1. Anderson Pereira charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anderson Pereira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Valério Neiva made in the 55th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by 228 FOOTBALL CLUB's Donato Paranaense. After some careless play in the Gymirim defense, Betão de Andrade kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Angelo Pombal. The Gymirim fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Angelo Pombal should have stopped the shot. Pedro Paulo Favoretto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Pombal having to interfere. After 63 minutes, Betão de Andrade made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. Gymirim's Angelo Pombal tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Angelo Pombal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Betão de Andrade, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. 68 minutes into the match, Betão de Andrade notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Gymirim's Angelo Pombal. Angelo Pombal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Betão de Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot. 228 FOOTBALL CLUB's supporters rose to their feet, but Betão de Andrade was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Angelo Pombal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pedro Paulo Favoretto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Angelo Pombal having to make a save. Betão de Andrade might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Angelo Pombal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Betão de Andrade ran back to his position shaking his head. Angelo Pombal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedro Paulo Favoretto's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. Betão de Andrade struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Angelo Pombal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for 228 FOOTBALL CLUB. 81 minutes into the match, Gymirim's Anderson Pereira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Frank Amaral narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Angelo Pombal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Betão de Andrade in the 82nd minute of the match. Pedro Paulo Favoretto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Betão de Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Angelo Pombal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gil Zanette in the 87th minute of the match. If Décio Pimenta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Angelo Pombal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Betão de Andrade's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. In the 97th minute Dino Secco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. 228 FOOTBALL CLUB fully deserved thier win.
