André Luís Cosme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lino Proença having to interfere. 12 minutes into the game, Cássio Lira recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Arí Amaral. Cássio Lira showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Hélder de Azevedo kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Doni Novaes got free with Arí Amaral in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vágner Lara kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. After 29 minutes, Elano Sousa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Loredo and the Aranha players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 29th minute, one of Loredo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Loredo. Lino Proença went to the wrong direction when Renan Eger was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Vinícius Donato's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lino Proença read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Luís Cosme in the 50th minute of play forced Loredo's goalkeeper Lino Proença to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
A collision led to Aranha getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. André Luís Cosme hit a great ball. After 56 played minutes, Loredo's Iuri da Costa shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Arí Amaral came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Loredo reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cássio Lira in the 61st minute of play forced Aranha's goalkeeper Arí Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Cássio Lira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arí Amaral was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Tiago Gabriel Pontes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aranha's supporters rose to their feet, but Tiago Gabriel Pontes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lino Proença breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Aranha eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
