Faustão Barral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norberto Tande having to interfere. In the 11th minute Faustão Barral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norberto Tande saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Norberto Tande showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Faustão Barral, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Norberto Tande came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Aldeiamento's Tadeu Mendes. But to his dismay, Tadeu Mendes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The supporters of Aldeiamento booed when Taiobeiras FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henrique Monteiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 26 played minutes, Aldeiamento's Zé Simões shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Norberto Tande came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Aldeiamento reached it. In the 28th match minute, Aldeiamento was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silas Vidal to maneuver through the defense. Ismael Abraão made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Henrique Miranda sent off a good shot on target. Faustão Barral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tadeu Mendes in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Norberto Tande prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tadeu Mendes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Norberto Tande tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Caco Negri hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute, Tadeu Mendes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Aldeiamento fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tadeu Mendes made a kick off. Ademir Penha charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
