Eagles's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Remo Pimenta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Eagles's Douglas Mesquita shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gláuber Alves came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in S.C. Eagles reached it. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Remo Pimenta stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, S.C. Eagles's Orlando Ramos got a free kick in the 57th minute. César Couto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Gláuber Alves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeferson Castro hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Kronos's Edinho Travassos managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Armandinho Cardozo in the 66 minute of the game. When Jeferson Castro fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S.C. Jeferson Castro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gláuber Alves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. During the 84th minute of the match Edinho Travassos completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Edinho Travassos a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 85th match minute, Kronos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edinho Travassos to maneuver through the defense. Haroldo Quaresma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Guerra having to interfere. César Couto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Gláuber Alves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
