Gláuber Alves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerson Santana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Remo Pimenta fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kronos's protests and gave Remo Pimenta a yellow card for diving instead. After 26 played minutes Kronos got a freekick which was hit by Remo Pimenta. 31 minutes into the match, Kronos's goal looked a bit too open when Abel Oliveira came free, but Gláuber Alves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Tapora SC booed when Kronos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cido do Vale didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a long run with the ball, Tião Leão did a trick in the 36th minute in front of Tapora SC's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 1-1. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cido do Vale was the one to do the kick off. Abel Oliveira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Gláuber Alves made a huge save. When Ademar Massa fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. If Oscar Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice moves Abel Oliveira could shoot a difficult shot in the 65th minute, which Gláuber Alves however easily saved by the left post. Kronos's Oscar Carvalho got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gláuber Alves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abel Oliveira in the 76th minute. Kronos's Gláuber Alves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Kronos from getting a goal against them. Kronos's Haroldo Quaresma got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 91 minutes into the match, Kronos's Cido do Vale sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Raphael Alcântara narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 95th minute Gerson Santana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gláuber Alves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tapora SC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Kronos had controlled the match.
