Doni Xavier came out of the goal and João Vítor Fernandez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aleandro Figueiredo was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Allan Cardoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Loyola, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Nelsinho Queiroz kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. If João Vítor Fernandez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Murilo Pirani scored 1-0 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Doni Xavier, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 31st match minute, Tejuco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Moraes to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice moves João Vítor Fernandez could shoot a difficult shot in the 36th minute, which Doni Xavier however easily saved by the left post. Doni Xavier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Murilo Pirani in the 38th minute of play. Nelsinho Queiroz hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Aleandro Figueiredo struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Doni Xavier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sumuri. 45 minutes into the match, Tejuco's goalkeeper Doni Xavier had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by João Vítor Fernandez. If Murilo Pirani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell João Vítor Fernandez to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Sumuri's João Vítor Fernandez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Doni Xavier made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. João Vítor Fernandez struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Tomás Loyola managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tejuco's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomás Loyola was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Allan Cardoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
