The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4thth minute of the game Paulo Renato Barros who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caraparu FC's Remo Ribeiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Caraparu FC's goalkeeper Remo Ribeiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Filipe Vergílio. Caraparu FC's Remo Ribeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Renato Barros in the 23rd minute of play. In the 24th match minute, Caraparu FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcus Lopez to maneuver through the defense. Filipe Vergílio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remo Ribeiro having to interfere. Filipe Vergílio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Remo Ribeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Murillo Silveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luís Gustavo Valladares hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Claudinho Saldanha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gálax FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Claudinho Saldanha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Remo Ribeiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 46th minute of the match Cristóvão Bezerra sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kristjan Savi skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of Caraparu FC booed when Gálax FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Koehler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kristjan Savi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcus Saldanha, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marcus Saldanha to strike the kick off in the second half. Remo Ribeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Renato Barros in the 65th minute of play. In the 73rdth minute of the game Marcus Saldanha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gálax FC's Kristjan Savi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Arthur Chaves charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arthur Chaves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 74th match minute, Gálax FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arthur Chaves to maneuver through the defense. Davi Schmidt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kristjan Savi having to interfere. 79 minutes into the game, Marcus Saldanha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Kristjan Savi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A hard shot by Luís Gustavo Valladares from long distance, 83 minutes into the match, got Kristjan Savi's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Remo Ribeiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Filipe Vergílio's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Kristjan Savi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Davi Schmidt in the 90th minute. Davi Schmidt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paulo Renato Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Remo Ribeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Paulo Renato Barros's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Remo Ribeiro was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. Gálax FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
