The crowd rose to their feet as Doni Abraão kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Osvaldinho Messias. That made the score 1-1 in the 32 minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Caraparu FC's Davi Schmidt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Osvaldinho Messias narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Marcus Saldanha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Davi Schmidt got free with Osvaldinho Messias in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 75 played minutes, Caraparu FC's Luís Gustavo Valladares shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Osvaldinho Messias came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Caraparu FC reached it. Ricardo Ramalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. In the 83rdth minute of the game Davi Schmidt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SitioUruoca's Osvaldinho Messias was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Caraparu FC's Júlio Cardoso got a free kick in the 94th minute. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SitioUruoca would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
