Spectators: 7 (Terracing: 0, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Gil Recife started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Olívio Moura hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Aguiar EC's zone, Júlio Cardoso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Miguel Quirino came out of the goal and Júlio Cardoso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 17th minute, Natã Vieira made a precise shot to the right of Miguel Quirino. Aguiar EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. The supporters of Aguiar EC booed when Descalvado SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hortêncio da Silva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Descalvado SC's Hortêncio da Silva was, in the 23rd minute, rewarded a free kick which he blasted straight towards the goal. The goalkeeper seemed frozen by the shot, but didn't have to make a save as the ball went outside of the right post. Percival Teles kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. The long shot by Genílson Borges in the 33rd minute really tested Miguel Quirino's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After 34 minutes, Luís Prata mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aguiar EC and the Descalvado SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luís Prata hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Natã Vieira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Júlio Cardoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Miguel Quirino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Miguel Quirino had great luck who in the 45thth minute grab hold of the ball when Júlio Cardoso from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Miguel Quirino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júlio Cardoso in the 47th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Júlio Cardoso was the one to do the kick off. When Júlio Cardoso came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Descalvado SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Júlio Cardoso couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Natã Vieira in the 55th minute of play forced Aguiar EC's goalkeeper Miguel Quirino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benedito Cosme in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Miguel Quirino saved Aguiar EC from getting behind. 65 minutes into the match, Aguiar EC's goal looked a bit too open when Benedito Cosme came free, but Miguel Quirino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Augusto Mota charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed José Augusto Mota the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 66 played minutes Aguiar EC got a freekick which was hit by José Augusto Mota. A collision led to Aguiar EC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Enéas de Toledo hit a great ball. 77 minutes into the match, Júlio Cardoso notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Aguiar EC's Miguel Quirino. Miguel Quirino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Miguel Quirino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Natã Vieira in the 87th minute of the match. In the 88th minute Júlio Cardoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Quirino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gil Recife fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Falcão Cavalcante having to interfere. Juninho de Souza's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Falcão Cavalcante firmly grabbed it by the left post. Descalvado SC's Falcão Cavalcante proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Descalvado SC from getting a goal against them. Descalvado SC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Aguiar EC for a fine match.
