Miguel Quirino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Aguiar EC's Miguel Quirino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elder Pernambucano in the 19th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Aguiar EC's goal looked a bit too open when Duarte Berger came free, but Miguel Quirino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Isaltino Freitas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gil Recife, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Álvaro Schmidt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Desegnano AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Álvaro Schmidt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miguel Quirino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Álvaro Schmidt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Quirino having to interfere. Duarte Berger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Desegnano AD booed when Aguiar EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Prata didn't get a good kick on the ball. Desegnano AD were awarded a corner in the 44th minute after Aguiar EC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Marcos Terra took the corner. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Álvaro Schmidt stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Aguiar EC's Miguel Quirino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Aguiar EC from getting a goal against them. Juninho de Souza might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Isaltino Freitas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Juninho de Souza ran back to his position shaking his head. Gil Recife received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Isaltino Freitas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Duarte Berger struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Cristiano Teles's late challenge caught a Aguiar EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristiano Teles helped the player get up and apologised. Gil Recife fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaltino Freitas having to interfere. 87 minutes into the game, Aguiar EC's Gil Recife nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Isaltino Freitas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 95th play minute Duarte Berger came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Miguel Quirino. 1-2. The Aguiar EC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Desegnano AD were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
