Hortêncio da Silva kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. After 12 played minutes, Desegnano AD's Marcos Terra shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Falcão Cavalcante came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Desegnano AD reached it. Isaltino Freitas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júlio Cardoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Álvaro Schmidt in the 20th minute of play forced Descalvado SC's goalkeeper Falcão Cavalcante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd minute Álvaro Schmidt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Falcão Cavalcante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th match minute, Descalvado SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hortêncio da Silva to maneuver through the defense. Duarte Berger could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Falcão Cavalcante made a huge save. Hortêncio da Silva hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. If Álvaro Schmidt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Júlio Cardoso to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Descalvado SC's Natã Vieira dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. Olívio Moura kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 64 minutes into the game, when Genílson Borges put in a rough tackle. In the 64th minute, one of Descalvado SC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Descalvado SC. In the 66th minute there was a penalty for Desegnano AD. Marcos Terra stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Falcão Cavalcante. 1-2. In the 71st minute Álvaro Schmidt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Falcão Cavalcante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Isaltino Freitas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Percival Teles in the 75th minute. Elder Pernambucano charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elder Pernambucano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 75th match minute, Desegnano AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elder Pernambucano to maneuver through the defense. Desegnano AD's Álvaro Schmidt got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Júlio Cardoso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Descalvado SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Júlio Cardoso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isaltino Freitas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Desegnano AD's Isaltino Freitas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júlio Cardoso in the 90th minute of play. When Elder Pernambucano was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 93 minutes had been played. In the 94th minute, Elder Pernambucano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Percival Teles's late challenge caught a Desegnano AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Percival Teles helped the player get up and apologised. Percival Teles hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. In the 96th minute, Léo Vargas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Descalvado SC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
