The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 41st minute, Copacabana's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Kauã Faria fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Dionísio Trancoso charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dionísio Trancoso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Rondonas booed when Copacabana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dionísio Trancoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Kauã Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kauã Faria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Lima having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kauã Faria was the one to do the kick off. Juan Lima didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Rondonas's Kauã Faria shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-1 in the ordered_time% minute. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 70 minutes into the match, Rondonas's Kauã Faria sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Juan Lima narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramón Hames in the 73rd minute of play forced Rondonas's goalkeeper Cido Vinhas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Rondonas's João Adolfo Gomes got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Rondonas's Cido Vinhas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramón Hames in the 75th minute of play. After having played for 80 minutes, Kauã Faria managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rondonas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kauã Faria was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Juan Lima showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kauã Faria in the 82nd minute of the match. Ramón Hames sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fiori Varela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Juan Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rondonas's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
