Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Claudinei dos Santos got the match started through his kick off. Pedro Luiz Marquez kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Covanca's zone, César Toscano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adalberto Pombal came out of the goal and César Toscano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chicão Mazza made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Cido Tinoco sent off a good shot on target. When César Toscano came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Valdelandia EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that César Toscano couldn't finish the play. Marcel de Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Chicão Mazza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 26 minutes into the game, Clemente Xavier was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Valdelandia EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Covanca the free kick. In the 26th minute, Clemente Xavier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Valdelandia EC's Amílton de Brito got a free kick in the 31st minute. With a little luck, Valdelandia EC's Chicão Mazza got control of the ball when Cido Tinoco tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by César Toscano in the 39th minute of play forced Covanca's goalkeeper Adalberto Pombal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gonçalo Carioca charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gonçalo Carioca the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gonçalo Carioca hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. 45 minutes into the match, Covanca's goal looked a bit too open when César Toscano came free, but Adalberto Pombal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Covanca getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Gonçalo Carioca hit a great ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bernardinho Leão stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Sidney Lira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Covanca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Valdelandia EC the free kick. In the 55th minute, Sidney Lira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bernardinho Leão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Nóbrega kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Adalberto Pombal made an important save on a dangerous shot by César Toscano in the 81st minute. Cido Tinoco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Chicão Mazza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valdelandia EC's Chicão Mazza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardinho Leão in the 84th minute of play. A collision led to Valdelandia EC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Pedro Luiz Marquez hit a great ball. Covanca's Bernardinho Leão got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
