Perivaldo Linhares came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Cambarazinho's Luizão Torres. But to his dismay, Luizão Torres quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Adolfo Fontes hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Beto Cosme might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alessandro Seco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Beto Cosme ran back to his position shaking his head. If Juninho Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juninho Leite's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alessandro Seco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. If Juninho Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 28 minutes into the match, Destampina's Juninho Leite sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alessandro Seco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Juninho Leite fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alessandro Seco having to interfere. If Beto Cosme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

58 minutes into the match, Cambarazinho's goal looked a bit too open when Beto Cosme came free, but Alessandro Seco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Destampina's zone, Pedro Paulo Santos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Perivaldo Linhares came out of the goal and Pedro Paulo Santos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joel Linares's late challenge caught a Cambarazinho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joel Linares helped the player get up and apologised. After 62 played minutes Destampina got a freekick which was hit by Joel Linares. In the 66th minute Juninho Leite shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alessandro Seco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Paulo Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Perivaldo Linhares having to interfere. Falcão dos Santos's late challenge caught a Cambarazinho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Falcão dos Santos helped the player get up and apologised. In the 85th minute, Falcão dos Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Beto Cosme's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alessandro Seco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. If Juninho Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alessandro Seco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beto Cosme in the 92nd minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
