Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alex Borges started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Borges in the 3rd minute of play forced Sanhaço Sport Club's goalkeeper Oswaldo Marinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eusébio Lara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Claudinei Nascimento stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hortêncio Rossi's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. Dinei Rodrigues hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eusébio Lara got free with Oswaldo Marinho in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eusébio Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Oswaldo Marinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oswaldo Marinho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eusébio Lara in the 16th minute. After 18 played minutes Sanhaço Sport Club got a freekick which was hit by Hortêncio Rossi. The supporters of Jiquirica booed when Sanhaço Sport Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vítor Maia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alex Borges fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oswaldo Marinho having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Samuca Vidal during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Jiquirica's Samuca Vidal got a free kick in the 24th minute. After 30 minutes, Eusébio Lara mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jiquirica and the Sanhaço Sport Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 30 played minutes Jiquirica got a freekick which was hit by Eusébio Lara. Emerson Silveira kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dedê Moreno in the 44th minute of play forced Jiquirica's goalkeeper Claudinei Nascimento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elano Esteves charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elano Esteves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 45 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Jiquirica! After the first half Sanhaço Sport Club were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Hortêncio Rossi made the kick off in the second half. Eusébio Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Oswaldo Marinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oswaldo Marinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Borges, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 57th match minute, Sanhaço Sport Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Gonçalves to maneuver through the defense. If Eusébio Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Sanhaço Sport Club's Dedê Moreno in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Jiquirica's goalie prevented a goal. Hortêncio Rossi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinei Nascimento having to interfere. In the 73rd minute, Jiquirica's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Dedê Moreno fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 77 played minutes Jiquirica got a freekick which was hit by Emerson Silveira. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hortêncio Rossi in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Claudinei Nascimento prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Eusébio Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th of the match, Hortêncio Rossi tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Claudinei Nascimento got in the way and made a wonderful save. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Sanhaço Sport Club had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
