After having played for 31 minutes, Alan Bezerra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mococa FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alan Bezerra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dário Fantini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilmar Pitta in the 36th minute of play. When José Vítor Mendes fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mococa FC's protests and gave José Vítor Mendes a yellow card for diving instead. 41 minutes into the game, one of Mococa FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The excitement rose when Umbauba's Edgard das Neves after 44 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Mococa FC's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jailson Travassos to strike the kick off in the second half. Ademir Queiroz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michel Couto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Perivaldo de Azevedo made in the 59th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Osvaldinho Amaral immediately put the ball in play. Jonas Costa made in the 66th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Mococa FC's Jairo Gaspar. In the 72nd minute Michel Couto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ademir Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Mococa FC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. João Carlos Vasconcelos hit a great ball. A sloppy throw-in by Perivaldo de Azevedo in the 82nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Mococa FC's Wágner Paiva. In the 83rd minute Adilson Matos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ademir Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Umbauba's zone, Alan Bezerra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ademir Queiroz came out of the goal and Alan Bezerra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 91 minutes into the match, Mococa FC's Alan Bezerra sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ademir Queiroz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michel Couto in the 94th minute of play forced Umbauba's goalkeeper Ademir Queiroz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Umbauba succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Mococa FC had controlled the match.
