Zeca Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Pedrinho Fernandez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedrinho Fernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diamantino Queiroz in the 30th minute of play. Lino Cunha struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Geraldo Pitta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Esporte Clube Osasco. After a defensive mix-up in Cianorte SC's zone, Daniel Alvarenga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geraldo Pitta came out of the goal and Daniel Alvarenga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Remo Bertassi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Geraldo Pitta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Luizinho Simão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st match minute, Esporte Clube Osasco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lino Cunha to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Daniel Alvarenga managed to get in a good position for a shot. With a left leg Geraldo Pitta saved Cianorte SC from getting behind. 69 minutes into the match, Cianorte SC's goal looked a bit too open when Remo Bertassi came free, but Geraldo Pitta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Remo Bertassi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diamantino Queiroz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedrinho Fernandez having to interfere.
