Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Dionísio Leite kicked off to start the match. In the 6th match minute, Taguariaiva was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Genílson Martins to maneuver through the defense. Dinei Furtado struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Gláuber Maia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mandury AD. Taguariaiva's Pedrão Santana got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gláuber Maia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dinei Furtado, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. If Dionísio Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 20 minutes, Dionísio Leite managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mandury AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dionísio Leite was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pedrão Santana was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 24th minute. Taguariaiva's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mandury AD's goalkeeper Flávio Faustino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Mandury AD's Alex da Mata in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Taguariaiva's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dinei Furtado in the 30th minute of play forced Taguariaiva's goalkeeper Gláuber Maia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dinei Furtado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Gláuber Maia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Taguariaiva's zone, Claudinho de Queirós stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gláuber Maia came out of the goal and Claudinho de Queirós tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedrão Santana to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedrão Santana in the 51st minute of play forced Mandury AD's goalkeeper Flávio Faustino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55th minute, Dionísio Leite fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Pedrão Santana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Flávio Faustino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aníbal Urbano in the 61st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dionísio Leite in the 64th minute of play forced Taguariaiva's goalkeeper Gláuber Maia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th minute, Genílson Martins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Mandury AD getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Alex da Mata hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aníbal Urbano in the 68th minute of play forced Mandury AD's goalkeeper Flávio Faustino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Dionísio Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Mandury AD booed when Taguariaiva was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Genílson Martins didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dinei Furtado came free with the goalkeeper in the 74th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gláuber Maia could save by the left post. Dinei Furtado took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gláuber Maia. Gláuber Maia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Taguariaiva's Chiquinho Marquez got a free kick in the 87th minute. Flávio Faustino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedrão Santana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mandury AD played a much better game than Taguariaiva and deserved their victory. The Taguariaiva players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
