Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Marcos França started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 3 minutes into the match, Calabouco's goal looked a bit too open when Amílton Coelho came free, but Hélder Secco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Oscar Goiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Calabouco getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Gilberto Breckenfeld hit a great ball. In the 14th minute of the match Guaranesia got a corner. Calabouco's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luís Fernando Mineiro ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Jeremias Bittencourt managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After a rather tough play, Calabouco's Felippe Pitta got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 19th minute Guaranesia were awarded a corner. Luís Fernando Mineiro went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Calabouco's goalie and right to Vivaldo Toscano. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Calabouco's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amílton Coelho in the 23rd minute of play forced Calabouco's goalkeeper Hélder Secco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th match minute, Guaranesia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olavo Santana to maneuver through the defense. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Guaranesia's goalkeeper Lúcio Tande, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Guaranesia's Lúcio Tande proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Guaranesia from getting a goal against them. Marcos França recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Amílton Coelho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Hélder Secco made a huge save. An unexpected shot in the 54th minute by Amílton Coelho got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Goiano in the 58th minute of play forced Calabouco's goalkeeper Hélder Secco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Amílton Coelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Felippe Pitta kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Oscar Goiano took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Hélder Secco to make any attempt to save it. When Luís Fernando Mineiro fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guaranesia's protests and gave Luís Fernando Mineiro a yellow card for diving instead. After 78 played minutes Guaranesia got a freekick which was hit by Luís Fernando Mineiro. Amílton Coelho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Hélder Secco made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vitinho Pires during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Calabouco's Igor Vander got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
