Luís Fábio Gaspar ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 34thth minute of the game Luiz Fabiano Sena who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Victoria's Frédson Vander was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luís Fábio Gaspar got free with Frédson Vander in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Nilton Paranaense's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vânderson Botelho was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. If Luiz Fabiano Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victoria's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Vânderson Botelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nilton Paranaense in the 94th minute of play. The supporters of Victoria booed when Muniz EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Márcio das Neves didn't get a good kick on the ball. The nice shot from Dagoberto Tróia in the 97thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Vânderson Botelho had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Muniz EC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
