Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Luís Eduardo de Alcântara started the match with the kick off. Guilherme Simão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sílvio Luiz de Andrade having to interfere. 5 minutes into the match, Cido Montenegro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sílvio Luiz de Andrade. Jubaia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cido Montenegro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, William Veloso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Varzeao EC's supporters rose to their feet, but William Veloso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sílvio Luiz de Andrade breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 12 minutes, Guilherme Simão made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Jubaia's Sílvio Luiz de Andrade tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sílvio Luiz de Andrade prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The wind increased when Guilherme Simão made the kick off in the second half. Guilherme Simão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Varzeao EC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Luiz Eduardo Souza hit a great ball. The supporters of Varzeao EC booed when Jubaia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Fontes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rd minute, one of Jubaia:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Jubaia. Sílvio Luiz de Andrade went to the wrong direction when Nilmar Pena was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Jubaia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 65th minute, when William Veloso scored to the left of an out of position Sílvio Luiz de Andrade, making the score, 0-4. After a defensive mix-up in Jubaia's zone, Guilherme Simão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sílvio Luiz de Andrade came out of the goal and Guilherme Simão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jubaia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 71st minute, when Cido Montenegro scored to the left of an out of position Sílvio Luiz de Andrade, making the score, 0-5. Joel Fontes's late challenge caught a Varzeao EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joel Fontes helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Varzeao EC booed when Jubaia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Fontes didn't get a good kick on the ball. The nice shot from William Veloso in the 86thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Sílvio Luiz de Andrade had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post.
