In the 10th minute, Dráuzio Cruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benê Varela took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Isaltino Seco. Isaltino Seco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Teodoro Leal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kaká Paulista having to interfere. In the 21st minute, Guto Moraes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Enrique Arantes in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kaká Paulista prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Murutuba SC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Jânio Netto hit a great ball. Dráuzio Cruz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaltino Seco having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Arantes in the 32nd minute of play forced Marionopolis's goalkeeper Kaká Paulista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kaká Paulista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrique Arantes in the 37th minute of the match. Guto Moraes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Enrique Arantes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Kaká Paulista. That made the score 1-1 in the 45 minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Enrique Arantes to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guto Moraes in the 56th minute of play forced Marionopolis's goalkeeper Kaká Paulista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Isaltino Seco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dráuzio Cruz in the 58th minute. If Enrique Arantes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Enrique Arantes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kaká Paulista having to interfere. Marionopolis's Kaká Paulista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Arantes in the 74th minute of play. After some careless play in the Marionopolis defense, Guto Moraes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kaká Paulista. The Marionopolis fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kaká Paulista should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Enrique Arantes in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kaká Paulista prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Enrique Arantes struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Kaká Paulista didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Murutuba SC. Guto Moraes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Kaká Paulista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 85 minutes into the game, Murutuba SC's Guto Moraes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kaká Paulista made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. A collision led to Murutuba SC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Jânio Netto hit a great ball.
