Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Cláudio Dracena made the kick off which started today's match. Ricardinho Abreu might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Silvinho Goiano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ricardinho Abreu ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind La Furia Roja's goalkeeper Silvinho Goiano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cláudio Dracena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Silvinho Goiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cláudio Dracena charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cláudio Dracena the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of La Furia Roja booed when Chimarrao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cláudio Dracena didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cláudio Dracena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ricardinho Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silvinho Goiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cláudio Dracena, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Silvinho Goiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardinho Abreu in the 33rd minute of play. Ricardinho Abreu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Silvinho Goiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardinho Abreu, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Ricardinho Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Silvinho Goiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cláudio Dracena in the 42nd minute of the match. Luís Guilherme Marquez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Waldir Aguiar in the 44th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fernandão Cruz to make the kick off. In the 51st minute Oscar Cearense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Guilherme Marquez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. La Furia Roja's Silvinho Goiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cláudio Dracena in the 58th minute of play. La Furia Roja's defense didn't have a chance, in the 60th minute, when Ricardinho Abreu scored to the left of an out of position Silvinho Goiano, making the score, 0-2. La Furia Roja's Silvinho Goiano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save La Furia Roja from getting a goal against them. 65 minutes had been played when some careless play by La Furia Roja's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Miguel Furtado was slow to take the kick. During this time Chimarrao's players had a chance to rest. Ricardinho Abreu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvinho Goiano having to interfere. 75 minutes into the match, Chimarrao's Ricardinho Abreu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Silvinho Goiano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Chimarrao's Baltazar Magalhães got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cláudio Dracena's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Silvinho Goiano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Fernandão Cruz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Guilherme Marquez having to interfere. When Waldir Aguiar fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Furia Roja's protests and gave Waldir Aguiar a yellow card for diving instead. After 93 played minutes La Furia Roja got a freekick which was hit by Waldir Aguiar. The Chimarrao players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
