Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Paulo Renato Velasco got the match started through his kick off. Valdemar Souza might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Claudinei Severo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Valdemar Souza ran back to his position shaking his head. Ferreiro's Délio Duarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sílvio Luiz Vides in the 7th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Vitinho de Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ferreiro's supporters rose to their feet, but Vitinho de Almeida was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claudinei Severo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 26th minute, Valdemar Souza reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Claudinei Severo. The goal made the score 2-0. Délio Duarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Gustavo Castro in the 31st minute of the match. Cruz SS's Luiz Gustavo Castro got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sílvio Luiz Vides's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Délio Duarte read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. After 39 played minutes Cruz SS got a freekick which was hit by Dinei Baiano. Sílvio Luiz Vides fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Délio Duarte having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luiz Gustavo Castro to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Paulo Renato Velasco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Valdemar Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sílvio Luiz Vides's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Délio Duarte read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. After 63 played minutes Cruz SS got a freekick which was hit by Eliézer Donato. Claudinei Severo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdemar Souza in the 64th minute of play. In the 69th match minute, Cruz SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrigo Brasil to maneuver through the defense. Luiz Gustavo Castro struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Délio Duarte didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cruz SS. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Sílvio Luiz Vides managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cruz SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Sílvio Luiz Vides was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Délio Duarte breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eliézer Donato sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cruz SS's Eliézer Donato got his second yellow card of the match in the 79th minute. The referee ordered Eliézer Donato off the ground. Luiz Gustavo Castro's late challenge caught a Ferreiro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luiz Gustavo Castro helped the player get up and apologised. After 82 played minutes Cruz SS got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Gustavo Castro. If Sílvio Luiz Vides had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rodrigo Brasil who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 88thth minute tested the skills of Délio Duarte when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Sílvio Luiz Vides fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Délio Duarte having to interfere. In the 91st minute of the match, Rodrigo Brasil got a very nice opportunity to score, but Délio Duarte was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Sílvio Luiz Vides received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Délio Duarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Ferreiro had won after a very even match.
