Frederico Pimenta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Thiago Meira hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Kauã Vergílio struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Frederico Pimenta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.R.Flamengo. Otávio Nóbrega received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Clóvis Donato tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 17 minutes, Thiago Meira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C.R.Flamengo and the Cojubim players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thiago Meira kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. If Raúl Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 23rd minute Raúl Monteiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clóvis Donato saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tião Pitta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Frederico Pimenta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Otávio Nóbrega fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clóvis Donato having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raúl Monteiro in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Clóvis Donato prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cojubim's Frederico Pimenta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kauã Vergílio in the 31st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Cojubim's zone, Kauã Vergílio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frederico Pimenta came out of the goal and Kauã Vergílio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 35th minute, Kiko Rocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Frederico Pimenta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kauã Vergílio in the 37th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tião Pitta in the 40th minute of play forced Cojubim's goalkeeper Frederico Pimenta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, C.R.Flamengo's Clóvis Donato got control of the ball when Otávio Nóbrega tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Otávio Nóbrega had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 48th minute Raúl Monteiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clóvis Donato saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tião Pitta made a kick off. Kauã Vergílio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Frederico Pimenta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kauã Vergílio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 57thth minute tested the skills of Frederico Pimenta when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Hugo Leal's late challenge caught a C.R.Flamengo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hugo Leal helped the player get up and apologised. Otávio Nóbrega scored 1-1 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Clóvis Donato, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Raúl Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Clóvis Donato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raúl Monteiro in the 71st minute of play. Mané Nunes kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in C.R.Flamengo's zone, Otávio Nóbrega stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Clóvis Donato came out of the goal and Otávio Nóbrega tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Otávio Nóbrega had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frederico Pimenta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tião Pitta's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. After a defensive mix-up in C.R.Flamengo's zone, Raúl Monteiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Clóvis Donato came out of the goal and Raúl Monteiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dedé Lara kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
