After 3 played minutes Rucas EC got a freekick which was hit by Natã Fernandez. Eugênio Passos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Yuri Meireles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Rucas EC booed when Extrato was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Faustão do Vale didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luiz Fernando Matorin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiaguinho Terra in the 11th minute of the match. Rucas EC's Tiaguinho Terra got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 19thth minute of the game Rafa Mazza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Extrato's Luiz Fernando Matorin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rui Cruz during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Extrato's Rui Cruz got a free kick in the 20th minute. 22 minutes into the game, Rafa Mazza recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Luiz Fernando Matorin. Rafa Mazza showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 25 minutes into the game, Tiaguinho Terra cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Luiz Fernando Matorin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 3-0 became the score in the 28th minute when Rafa Mazza elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Orlando Melo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rucas EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Orlando Melo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luiz Fernando Matorin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 35th minute of the match Rucas EC got a corner. Extrato's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Orlando Melo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Patrício Hames made a great header on Rucas EC's corner, it was just that Extrato's Luiz Fernando Matorin managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 37th match minute, Extrato was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caetano Tande to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th minute, Tiaguinho Terra made a precise shot to the right of Luiz Fernando Matorin. Extrato's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. When Natã Fernandez fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rucas EC's protests and gave Natã Fernandez a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Rucas EC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Natã Fernandez hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rafa Mazza was the one to do the kick off. Tiaguinho Terra blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luiz Fernando Matorin having to make a save. Ernani Seco kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. In the 62ndth minute of the game Eugênio Passos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rucas EC's Yuri Meireles was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Adalberto Proença could shoot a difficult shot in the 66th minute, which Yuri Meireles however easily saved by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Extrato's zone, Tiaguinho Terra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Fernando Matorin came out of the goal and Tiaguinho Terra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 71 played minutes Extrato got a freekick which was hit by Adalberto Proença. Tiaguinho Terra struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Luiz Fernando Matorin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rucas EC. 75 minutes into the match, Rucas EC's goalkeeper Yuri Meireles had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adalberto Proença. In the 78th minute, Caetano Tande had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. 78 minutes into the game, Pedro Paulo Cunha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rucas EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Extrato the free kick. After a rather tough play, Rucas EC's Pedro Paulo Cunha got a free kick in the 79th minute. 83 minutes into the game, Rafa Mazza cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Luiz Fernando Matorin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luiz Fernando Matorin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafa Mazza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tiaguinho Terra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Fernando Matorin having to interfere. Rucas EC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
