Zacarias Paes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Zacarias Paes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lauro da Costa in the 10th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Lauro da Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Biquinha's supporters rose to their feet, but Lauro da Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zacarias Paes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With 19 minutes on the clock, André Félix commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 20 played minutes Biquinha got a freekick which was hit by André Félix. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sérgio Matos in the 21st minute of play forced Biquinha's goalkeeper Ulysses Rosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute, Pedro de Amaral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
