Sérgio Vianna hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Figueirense 21's Gino Tasso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Figueirense 21 from getting a goal against them. In the 16th minute Inácio Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gino Tasso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Virgílio Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emerson Gonçalves having to interfere. Gino Tasso made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Igor Branco sent off a good shot on target. When João Vítor Lopes fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Figueirense 21's protests and gave João Vítor Lopes a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of DarKGalax booed when Figueirense 21 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Vítor Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gino Tasso was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Serafim Souza. Virgílio Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 35 minutes into the match, Figueirense 21's Arnaldo Leão sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emerson Gonçalves narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Emerson Gonçalves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Figueirense 21. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Virgílio Amorim made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Igor Branco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gino Tasso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gino Tasso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Igor Branco went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. When João Vítor Lopes was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 56 minutes had been played. In the 57th minute, João Vítor Lopes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Branco in the 59th minute of play forced Figueirense 21's goalkeeper Gino Tasso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Igor Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Igor Branco managed to get in a good position for a shot. DarKGalax's supporters rose to their feet, but Igor Branco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gino Tasso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arnaldo Leão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emerson Gonçalves having to interfere. Arnaldo Leão scored 1-1 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emerson Gonçalves, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Arnaldo Leão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 74 minutes into the match, DarKGalax's goalkeeper Emerson Gonçalves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arnaldo Leão. The crowd rose to their feet as Arnaldo Leão kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Emerson Gonçalves. That made the score 1-2 in the 76 minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 81st minute by Arnaldo Leão got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Eliézer de Queirós recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, DarKGalax's Emerson Gonçalves got control of the ball when Arnaldo Leão tried to sneak it across the goal line. Igor Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 93 minutes, Dinei Cavalcante mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Figueirense 21 and the DarKGalax players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Figueirense 21's Dinei Cavalcante got a free kick in the 93rd minute. In the 96th play minute Arnaldo Leão came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Emerson Gonçalves. 2-3. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Figueirense 21 had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
