João Carlos Figueiredo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Isidor Ricoy's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Olívio Xavier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19th match minute, Maloca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredão Dracena to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 20 minutes, Wilton Pires managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Taquari EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilton Pires was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guilherme da Cunha in the 21st minute of play forced Maloca's goalkeeper Remo da Fonseca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Remo da Fonseca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olívio Xavier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Remo da Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Murilo Cunha in the 24th minute of play. Wilton Pires kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Murilo Cunha in the 27th minute of play forced Maloca's goalkeeper Remo da Fonseca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute, Nelsinho Proença hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Isidor Ricoy made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Maloca's Nelsinho Proença got a free kick in the 53rd minute. If Olívio Xavier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th minute Isidor Ricoy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Carlos Figueiredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Murilo Cunha in the 58th minute of play forced Maloca's goalkeeper Remo da Fonseca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th minute, Celso Villasana left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Maloca fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Maloca's Remo da Fonseca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guilherme da Cunha in the 76th minute of play. Taquari EC's João Carlos Figueiredo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidor Ricoy in the 77th minute of play. The supporters of Maloca booed when Taquari EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Murilo Cunha didn't get a good kick on the ball. But to his dismay, Isidor Ricoy quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. After a rather tough play, Taquari EC's Franklin Soeiro got a free kick in the 91st minute. João Carlos Figueiredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artur Pitta in the 92nd minute of play. Celso Villasana struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. João Carlos Figueiredo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maloca. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Maloca fans cheered their team off the field, for while Taquari EC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
