After 9 minutes, Christoph Frey mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Flores and the Santarem SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Christoph Frey hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Cléberson Arósio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leonardo Baptista in the 12th minute. Paulinho Souza hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Cafu Corrêa took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edgard Rosa. Edgard Rosa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Julien Adriens scored 0-2 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edgard Rosa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Paulinho Souza scored 0-3 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edgard Rosa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 30th minute, Luisinho Velloso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match clock showed 34 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Cafu Corrêa sped through Santarem SS's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Edgard Rosa. Santarem SS's Edgard Rosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julien Adriens in the 40th minute of play. In the 44th minute Christoph Frey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgard Rosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julien Adriens took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edgard Rosa. Edgard Rosa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. The Santarem SS players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Flores were winning 0-6.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cafu Corrêa to strike the kick off in the second half. Leonardo Baptista might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cléberson Arósio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leonardo Baptista ran back to his position shaking his head. Cléberson Arósio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Jacinto in the 60th minute of play. Edgard Rosa made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Rolando Guillem sent off a good shot on target. Edgard Rosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christoph Frey in the 70th minute of the match. The supporters of Flores booed when Santarem SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luisinho Velloso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edgard Rosa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cafu Corrêa's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. Cafu Corrêa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard Rosa having to interfere. With a little luck, Santarem SS's Edgard Rosa got control of the ball when Julien Adriens tried to sneak it across the goal line. Edgard Rosa was out of position in the 96 minute of play, and Christoph Frey capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Christoph Frey really showed his touch with that goal: 0-10. The Santarem SS fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Flores were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
