Alfredo Faustino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sandro Lima kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. In the 19th minute Tião Melo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Faustino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Décio Fernandez in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfredo Faustino saved Serio SC from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Tião Melo put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Alfredo Faustino. Tião Melo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Faustino having to interfere. Alfredo Faustino stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tião Melo's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Camirim's Elano Pombal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Camirim from getting a goal against them. 38 minutes into the game, Tião Melo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Alfredo Faustino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alfredo Faustino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tião Melo went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tião Melo to make the kick off. Alfredo Faustino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tião Melo in the 54th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nelsinho Baiano during the 61st minute. In the 74thth minute of the game Egídio Bueno who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Camirim's Elano Pombal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tião Melo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Alfredo Faustino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Serio SC's Alfredo Faustino got control of the ball when Tião Melo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Raí Varela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elano Pombal having to interfere. Alfredo Faustino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Décio Fernandez in the 93rd minute of the match. Tião Melo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 94thth minute, Alfredo Faustino skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Tião Melo succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-5 in the 95th playminute. When the final whistle sounded Camirim left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Serio SC.
