Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Júlio Cardozo was out of position in the 4 minute of play, and Zé Antunes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Zé Antunes really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. The supporters of Gerencia booed when Misericordia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodoro Favoretto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Júlio Cardozo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Antunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. In the 10th match minute, Gerencia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulinho Mota to maneuver through the defense. In the 13th minute of the match, Enéas Peixoto got a very nice opportunity to score, but Júlio Cardozo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 16 minutes of play, Gerencia's Paulinho Mota made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Júlio Cardozo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jonathan Loyola hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. If Zé Antunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute, Tony Pires got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Misericordia's Júlio Cardozo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Antunes in the 30th minute of play. Júlio Cardozo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tony Pires's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. In the 36th minute, Gerencia's Zé Antunes dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. 39 minutes into the match, Zé Antunes notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Misericordia's Júlio Cardozo. Júlio Cardozo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Zé Antunes came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Gerencia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Antunes couldn't finish the play. Misericordia's Júlio Cardozo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Antunes in the 48th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedro Augusto Moura to make the kick off. Alessandro Galvão struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Júlio Cardozo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gerencia. Pedro Augusto Moura hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. When Gerencia's Tony Pires in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Misericordia's goalie prevented a goal. If Tony Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Misericordia's Júlio Cardozo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tony Pires in the 62nd minute of play. Zé Antunes struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Júlio Cardozo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gerencia. After some careless play in the Misericordia defense, Zé Antunes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Júlio Cardozo. The Misericordia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Júlio Cardozo should have stopped the shot. Tony Pires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Cardozo having to interfere. In the 73rdth minute of the game Tony Pires who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Misericordia's Júlio Cardozo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Pedro Augusto Moura fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Misericordia's protests and gave Pedro Augusto Moura a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Misericordia getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Pedro Augusto Moura hit a great ball. Teodoro Favoretto kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Júlio Cardozo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zé Antunes's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Zé Antunes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Júlio Cardozo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Antunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Zé Antunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Antunes in the 89th minute of play forced Misericordia's goalkeeper Júlio Cardozo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zé Antunes might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Júlio Cardozo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zé Antunes ran back to his position shaking his head. Zé Antunes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Júlio Cardozo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. In the 97th minute Zé Antunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Cardozo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Gerencia players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
