Olívio Maranhense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Aluísio Guimarães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rafael Damião scored 2-3 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of David de Mendonça, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Galileia AD's Aluísio Guimarães got control of the ball when Olívio Maranhense tried to sneak it across the goal line. When %teams%'s Emílio Andrade was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 2-4 just inside the left pole, 63 minutes into the game. Aluísio Guimarães was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. Minas FC's David de Mendonça played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hílton Pinheiro in the 67th minute of play. Aluísio Guimarães made an important save on a dangerous shot by Olívio Maranhense in the 70th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Galileia AD's zone, Olívio Maranhense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aluísio Guimarães came out of the goal and Olívio Maranhense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rafael Damião recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Minas FC's Cristiano Sanches shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 87th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Aluísio Guimarães but with some difficulty. 89 minutes into the game, Emílio Andrade recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Aluísio Guimarães. Emílio Andrade showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-5. Through an outstanding action, after 93 minutes, Aluísio Guimarães successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Vitinho Simão struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. David de Mendonça didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Galileia AD. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rafael Damião in the 101st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck David de Mendonça prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
