Robinho Toscano's late challenge caught a Granada FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Robinho Toscano helped the player get up and apologised. Caio de Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Luiz Fabiano de Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Granada FC's goalkeeper Anderson Antunes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Rodrigo Quirino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rodrigo Quirino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Anderson Antunes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Robinho Toscano went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Granada FC's zone, Rodrigo Quirino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anderson Antunes came out of the goal and Rodrigo Quirino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Bayerische Motoren Werke getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Charles Pinheiro hit a great ball. Manolo Esteves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Bayerische Motoren Werke defense, Natã Leite kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luiz Fabiano de Almeida. The Bayerische Motoren Werke fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luiz Fabiano de Almeida should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Granada FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Natã Leite hit a great ball. Caio de Sena could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Luiz Fabiano de Almeida made a huge save. The supporters of Granada FC booed when Bayerische Motoren Werke was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robinho Toscano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Régis Matos kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After 42 played minutes Bayerische Motoren Werke got a freekick which was hit by Charles Pinheiro. Rodrigo Quirino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 47 played minutes Granada FC got a freekick which was hit by Manolo Esteves. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Caio de Sena made a kick off. In the 54th match minute, Granada FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vitinho Baptista to maneuver through the defense. Caio de Sena scored 2-1 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luiz Fabiano de Almeida, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 64 minutes into the game, Vitinho Baptista cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Luiz Fabiano de Almeida was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 72nd minute Rodrigo Quirino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anderson Antunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luiz Fabiano de Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Natã Leite, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 78 minutes, Robinho Toscano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bayerische Motoren Werke's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robinho Toscano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gabríel Minichiello struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Anderson Antunes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bayerische Motoren Werke. Granada FC's Anderson Antunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Quirino in the 87th minute of play. After 87 played minutes Granada FC got a freekick which was hit by Natã Leite. When Robinho Toscano came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Bayerische Motoren Werke fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robinho Toscano couldn't finish the play. Bayerische Motoren Werke's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
