Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tadeu de Sousa took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes into the game, Tadeu de Sousa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sandro Vinhas. Tadeu de Sousa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 9th minute of the match, Hélio Koehler got a very nice opportunity to score, but Sandro Vinhas was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Matarandiba SC's Sandro Vinhas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Matarandiba SC from getting a goal against them. Marcelinho Arósio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiago Gabriel Veloso having to interfere. Tiago Gabriel Veloso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelinho Arósio in the 17th minute of the match. Hélio Koehler who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Sandro Vinhas when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some careless play in the Matarandiba SC defense, Sidney Koehler kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sandro Vinhas. The Matarandiba SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sandro Vinhas should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcelinho Arósio in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tiago Gabriel Veloso saved União F C from getting behind. In the 35th minute, Ian Peres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcelinho Arósio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tiago Gabriel Veloso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Tiago Gabriel Veloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antônio Carlos Campidelis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Filipe Meireles stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute of the match, Filipe Meireles tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tiago Gabriel Veloso saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a defensive mix-up in União F C's zone, Filipe Meireles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiago Gabriel Veloso came out of the goal and Filipe Meireles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcelinho Arósio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 60 minutes, Filipe Meireles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Matarandiba SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filipe Meireles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Filipe Meireles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Tiago Gabriel Veloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 69th minute Tadeu de Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sandro Vinhas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcelinho Arósio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tiago Gabriel Veloso having to make a save. Tiago Gabriel Veloso made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Marcelinho Arósio sent off a good shot on target. If Filipe Meireles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Filipe Meireles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiago Gabriel Veloso having to interfere. 83 minutes into the match, União F C's goal looked a bit too open when Filipe Meireles came free, but Tiago Gabriel Veloso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dedê Tavares during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Marcelinho Arósio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Tiago Gabriel Veloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Matarandiba SC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
