When the match clock showed 27 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Ronaldo Fontes sped through Lage FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Digo Sabóia. 31 minutes in the game, Santo Abechuco fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Tomé Leal having to interfere. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind FonteGandense's goalkeeper Tomé Leal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Lage FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FonteGandense the free kick. FonteGandense's Tomé Leal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santo Abechuco in the 76th minute of play. Santo Abechuco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. During the 88th minute of the match Germano Andrade completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Germano Andrade a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Germano Andrade hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Ronaldo Fontes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 93rdth minute, Digo Sabóia skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Frederico Alagoano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The FonteGandense players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
